German diving instructor Udo Türscherl left his homeland for good. Came to Malta and founded Octopus Garden. That was in 1990!

Well, that was a long time ago and he is still here. Hundreds of divers have visited Octopus Garden over the years and many return time & time again, convinced that Malta offers some of the best diving in the Med.

Today, Udo is still running his diving schools at the Gilleru and Suncrest Hotels. One of the reasons Octopus Garden is so popular is that Udo believes that diver safety and a friendly professional atmosphere are paramount.

The diving schools of Octopus Garden are located on Malta, in the north-east, and both are right on the seafront.

One is found at the Gillieru Harbour Hotel, St. Paul’s Bay and the other a short distance away at the Suncrest Hotel in Qawra.

Twice a day we use a Luzu, a traditional fishing boat.

From our own jetty we dive the most beautiful reefs and caves that surround the Maltese Islands, also offering daytrips to Malta’s west and north coast and the islands Comino and Gozo.
