The Dive Centre
The SSI Dive Centre Octopus Garden is located in the Mediterranean Sea on the main island of the Maltese archipelago. Located in the north-east of Malta, the centre is ideally placed at the water’s edge at Gillieru Harbour Hotel in St. Paul's Bay. Our professional instructor team lives by the qualities of diving safety, skills and competence, and have been doing so for 20 years.
You'll find everything that you would normally expect from an SSI Dive Centre. This includes a dive shop, teaching facilities, a separate room for rental equipment, a compressor room and an attached workshop. Of course there is also a guest storage room with enough space to store your own equipment and load your torches. So, there is no unnecessary weight to carry back to the hotel. |

Our own jetty enables you to start your daily boat trips right on our doorstep.
We can take the traditional Maltese fishing boat, the “Luzzu”, or alternatively, a Cabin cruiser.
These will enable you to cruise to the most beautiful reefs, caves and wrecks around Malta's west and north coast.
Day trips to Gozo and Comino as well as shore dives are also part of our program. |

A comprehensive briefing of each dive and our small guided groups guarantee you a relaxed and safe time above and below water.
After diving you may relax in front of the centre, write your logbook, enjoy a complimentary coffee or tea in the sun and you might also want to cool off in the sea without the safety of you wetsuit.
At the end of a long dive day many restaurants in the area invite us to share a meal together. |

If you are not located in close proximity to the Gillieru Hotel, you will find our booking office at the Seashells Resort – Suncrest Hotel. You may ask all relevant questions and arrange your diving events there.
We offer a free shuttle service to the Gillieru dive centre both from the Seashells Resort - Suncrest Hotel as well as from all other surrounding hotels.
