Way of life

As soon as you leave the airport in Malta, your holiday starts with a bang. The typical Mediterranean/Maltese hospitality and the special flair of the island are felt from the first moments.

The Maltese are peaceful, relaxed and very religious people where 95% of the population are Catholic and regularly attend one of its 365 churches. They value their family, their history and culture and enjoy their lives on the paradise island.

The Maltese love to celebrate. If there is no holiday on the calendar, one is created. In the summer months, every village has its own "Festa", which includes jazz and folk festivals, wine festivals, Beer festivals, the Strawberry Festival, donkey races and parties which appear to occur for absolutely no reason!

The Maltese love fireworks and every weekend they turn night into day - which should not be missed!

Every Maltese speaks excellent English besides the Maltese language. For example if you ask a Maltese for directions, they will bring you directly to the doorstep of your destination and in addition give you a mini tour of the beauties and attractions of their island.

A Maltese divides their island in two parts: North and South. The directions East and West simply do not exist in their vocabulary.

P.S.: Octopus Garden can be found in the North!
